Upon the conclusion of our Needs Assessment you will be provided with specific recommendations and strategies for developing 21st century schools. We will help you to achieve the following:
- Articulate a vision or mission
- Design and provide students with a Learning Environment supporting 21st century learners
- Build capacity for sustainable leadership
- Create an organizational structure and schedule that supports teachers and students
- Strengthen professional communities
- Design and implement a 21st century model of curriculum and instruction
- Ensure that students develop critical 21st century skills
- Ensure that students develop critical 21st century literacies
- Integrate technology meaningfully into curriculum
Components of a Needs Assessment . . .
When 21st Century Schools organizes and implements a Needs Assessment we include the following:
- Meetings with key administrators and committees
- Tour of schools, including many classroom observations
- Interviews on-site with campus administrators
- Interviews on-site with teams of teachers, parents and students
- Analysis of curriculum and instruction - curriculum guides, materials, lesson plans, etc.
- Analysis of student products
- Data, including test scores, attendance rates, graduation rates, etc.
- Surveys of stakeholders, including students.
