It's January 2009 and the
news is full of horror stories - today, January 26, CNN announced 63,000 job
cuts in one day, calling it a "jobs bloodbath". Millions of Americans
are out of work. Millions of Americans have lost their homes.
According to CNN the American economy fell off a cliff in September of 2008.
A new film, currently in
theaters, is IOUSA. We plan
to begin developing a unit of curriculum that will teach our students about
the economy and how it works.
It is critical that our
students develop financial literacy.
On this page, and in our
new wiki, IOUSA, we will provide
resources, lesson ideas, and project ideas, including global collaborative
projects - this economic downtown is making a global impact.
