Host an Event

If our Regional Workshops, On-Site workshops, Virtual Classrooms, Online Courses or Annual Plans do not work for you, we can still help!

Sometimes budgets are so tight that the best way to provide professional development for your school or district is by hosting an event, and inviting other schools (from within your district or outside) to share the benefits of the event as well as the expenses.

You can still receive the same quality professional development - activities, presentations, materials, etc. that you would receive at the Regional or other workshops.

Contact Jerry Self at 21st Century Schools to discuss your professional development needs and to request information on possible hosting of events.

PPDP -  Consultants at 21st Century Schools can assist you in developing your Personal Professional Development Plan for your district or campus - custom-tailored Professional Staff Development designed to meet the specific needs of your schools, staff and community.

After assessing the particular needs for your staff, our consultants will work with you, your staff, and all stakeholders to develop an appropriate staff development program.  Assessing needs, setting goals, planning and action will all be aligned to the direction to be taken in staff development voiced by goals of your stakeholders.  All professional development activities will be designed to maximize growth as they connect and flow in relation to one another.  Ongoing evaluation of progress, conducted by staff, administrators, and stakeholders as well as our consultants will guide the continual fine adjustment of the staff development program.

Multi-District Conferences  -  Let our talented and experienced team of consultants plan, organize and deliver a multi-district educational conference for you.  By teaming with one or more other districts (or campuses), you can cut professional development expenses dramatically.  All we need is the general theme of your conference, then we will discuss with you the development of the strands which you wish to offer the attendees.  Based on an assessment of your district's needs we will organize the perfect educational conference - everything from coffee and pastries to the session evaluation forms!

Sharing expenses for a professional development event of this nature can even result in putting money into your pocket as you charge attendance fees to educators from other school districts.  We also will look into alternative sources of funding for you.

Educate the Educator  -  In this scenario, consultants from 21st Century Schools will come to your district and work with a special team of people selected from each campus and the central office.  We will then conduct intensive training which will enable these specialists to conduct the professional staff development sessions for the rest of the staff in your district.  This is not only extremely cost effective in terms of dollars, but in terms of increased productivity, efficiency and morale.  A spirit of teamwork and collaboration in creating needed growth and change for your staff is priceless.

Curriculum Design -  allow consultants at 21st Century Schools to assist you in  designing and developing curriculum for your district and campuses.  We will work with teachers, administrators and parents as you design and align your district/campus curriculum - vertically, horizontally and globally - to meet the needs of your students for the new millennium.

Vertical Alignment -  addressing the flow of the curriculum in a PreK-12 perspective.

Horizontal Alignment -  addressing the flow of the curriculum across disciplines within grade levels.

Globally Balanced -  aligning the curriculum into a meaningful and complete whole which not only meets state and national standards, but is connected to the community as our society undergoes rapid changes due to the phenomena of technology, media and globalization in all aspects of life.
