Our newest page, this is where we will be building a resource database for you including links to tips for green living, information on environmental issues, connections to the disciplines, unit ideas, lesson plans and a multitude of environmental resources!

Our newest project, The Great Race - a Global Collaborative Classrooms Project, uses a significant historic event to bring the attention of the world to current environmental issues related to automobiles.  The race itself brings a focus to alternative fuels, hybrid cars, innovative technologies designed to decrease the negative impact on the environment by cars and to take us to a healthier and more economical way of using automobiles. We strongly encourage schools to participate in this project, as it has connections to all fields related to the environment as well as strong multicultural connections, technologies, 21st century knowledge and skills, multiple literacies, and more.

EIRC Challenger Learning Center -  The Educational Information and Research Center is in the process of building the newest NASA Challenger Learning Center.  The facilities are to be 100% "green".  EIRC has many wonderful resources, programs and projects in addition to the Challenger Center.  Please visit them.

Top 15 Green Grist Lists -  Students love celebrities, and these celebrities and other eco-notable people, places and things provide inspiration for students.  They will learn many ways they can make a difference in this world - these lists provide material for activities ranging from researching the environment to service learning projects.
